About the provider
Northland Regional Council鈥檚 T奴 i te ora Scholarship recognises and supports students to undertake study, research or training that relates to council鈥檚 environmental and regulatory functions 鈥 providing a springboard for future environmental leaders and champions, whilst contributing to council鈥檚 vision 鈥極ur Northland 鈥 together we thrive鈥.
The scholarship
aims to:
- Build M膩ori capacity within Te Taitokerau and assist students to pursue further education.
- Encourage greater uptake of tertiary education aimed at protecting the environment.
- Develop connections between tertiary students and council.
- Provide support to students experiencing financial hardship and difficulties.
- Encourage m膩tauranga M膩ori research and education.
