About the provider
In 1961 the M膩ori Education Foundation was established under the M膩ori Education Foundation Act 1961.
Its basic objective was to encourage M膩ori into tertiary education and this was achieved through the payment of grants and scholarships.
These were derived from public raised funds and private bequests which were subsidised by Government. In 1993 the M膩ori Education Foundation Act 1961 was superseded by the M膩ori Education Trust Deed and the M膩ori Education Trust came into being.
Toit奴 Kaupapa M膩ori M膩tauranga is the M膩ori name for the M膩ori Education Trust.
