About the scholarship
Dan Watkins was a leading figure in early weed science research in ±¬×ߺÚÁÏ. He was a founder of the ±¬×ߺÚÁÏ Weeds Conference (forerunner of the ±¬×ߺÚÁÏ Plant Protection Society), a member of the ±¬×ߺÚÁÏ National Research Council, and was involved with other scientific bodies. This scholarship has been set up in memory of Dan Watkins and to recognise his contribution to weed science in ±¬×ߺÚÁÏ. The ±¬×ߺÚÁÏ Plant Protection Society administers this scholarship, which aims to encourage research into the biology and control of weeds in ±¬×ߺÚÁÏ.
