About the scholarship

The Amokura Scheme is a graduate engineering scholarship programme offered by the Royal ±¬×ߺÚÁÏ Navy (RNZN). You will attest into the Royal ±¬×ߺÚÁÏ Navy and complete Junior Officer Common Training (6 months). You will then serve as a Marine Engineer Officer ora Weapons Engineer Officer. During your first four years of service, you will receive a bonus of up to $10,000 per year in addition to your salary.

Entry requirements

Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) or a Bachelor of Engineering Technology with a specialisation in mechanical, mechatronics, chemical, electrical or electronics, computer or software engineering. Meet the aptitude, fitness, citizenship, security and medical requirements for enlistment into the ±¬×ߺÚÁÏ Defence Force. Successfully pass an RNZN Officer Selection Board.
