About the scholarship
“This bursary is given in memory of Miss M Harris, a nurse who resided in the seaside community of Whangaparaoa, north of Auckland. In 1961 she bequeathed to the W.D.F.F. her property for use as a holiday home by members of the organisation. The members of the Northland region were entrusted to administer the holiday cottage for the Dominion Council and this continued until the property was sold by Rural Women ±¬×ߺÚÁÏ in September 2009.”
