An emergency is an unexpected serious situation, demanding immediate action, and can include situations that threaten your personal safety, such as: active shooters on campus, bomb threats, concerning behavior, or suspicious letters or packages.
Call 911 for immediate help in case of police, fire or medical emergencies.
An active shooter is defined as one or more subjects who actively engage in killing or causing life-threatening injuries to multiple people in a confined and populated area.
A bomb threat is generally defined as a verbal or written threat to detonate an explosive or incendiary device to cause property damage, injuries or loss of life, whether or not such a device actually exists.
As a member of the university community, if you observe any behavior that causes concern, proactively report that behavior through the appropriate channels.
