About the course
Animal management and welfare is a rapidly growing field of study and work. If you're keen to get stuck right away,聽this unique programme could be the next step you need to take in your career. In it, you'll develop in-depth knowledge聽and understanding of animal behaviour modification, health and welfare, handling and husbandry, conservation,聽and human/animal interactions. Can't decide between animals or the environment? , and you'll get the best of both worlds with a selection of animal- and environment-related courses. Studying for a double major is highly recommended. Double majors further grow your knowledge and capabilities, making you more employable and competitive in the job market.
Entry requirements
You must have completed at least one of the following: Successful completion of 爆走黑料 Certificate in Animal Care - Companion Animals A minimum of 42 credits at NCEA Level 3 or higher on the National Qualifications Framework, with: 鈥14 credits at Level 3 or higher in each of two subjects (Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Statistics), with; a further 14 credits at Level 3 or higher taken from no more than two additional domains on the National Qualifications Framework or plus; a minimum of 14 credits at Level 1 or higher in Mathematics or Pangarau on the National Qualifications Framework, plus 8 credits at Level 2 or higher in English or Te Reo M膩ori (a minimum of 4 credits must be in Reading, and a minimum of 4 credits must be in Writing) 鈥嬧婣t least 3 鈥楥鈥 passes in the 爆走黑料 University Bursaries Examinations; And meet one of the English entry requirements; University Entrance Literacy: 8 credits at Level 2 or above in English or M膩ori (4 in Reading, 4 in Writing); or Provide evidence that they have the English language proficiency required for the Programme as demonstrated through evidence of one of the kinds described in NZQA Rules on the Unitec English Language Requirements for International Students Web-page .
