Erin Hemara Wahanui Maori Student Profile

I didn鈥檛 know what to expect when I enrolled to learn te reo M膩ori at WITT. I studied te reo 30 years ago at high school and back then all I needed was a pen and a notebook. Today, not only am I learning te reo M膩ori, I鈥檝e also had to learn how to use a computer and the online learning programme. This has been a blast. I enjoy my classes, the kaiako and the other students; especially hearing which students have the same pepeha as me. The kaiako say that making mistakes is the best way to learn. If that鈥檚 the case, then I鈥檓 at the top of the class and proud of it.
